Please read these terms before using keeps.family. By creating an account, you agree to them. Questions? Email hello@keeps.family.
1. Who we are
keeps.family is a family memory app based in the United Kingdom.
2. Using keeps.family
You must be 18 or over
Accounts are for adults only. The app captures memories about children — children do not create accounts or use the service directly.
Your account
You are responsible for all activity on your account. Contact us immediately at hello@keeps.family if you believe your account has been compromised.
Family sharing
Invited family members can see and interact with all keeps in your account. Only invite people you trust. You can remove members at any time from Settings.
3. Your content
You own it
Everything you capture — photos, videos, audio, text — belongs to you. We make no claim to ownership of your content.
Licence to us
To provide the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for operating keeps.family. This ends when you delete the content or close your account.
We don't train AI on your content
Your keeps are never used to train AI models. AI features process your content only to provide the service in the moment.
Your responsibility
You must not upload content that you don't have the right to share, is illegal or harmful, or violates any third party's privacy or intellectual property rights.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use keeps.family for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' data without permission
- Reverse engineer or scrape the service
- Use the service in a way that could damage or impair it
5. The service
Availability
We aim to keep keeps.family running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Changes and discontinuation
We may change or discontinue any part of the service. If we plan significant changes or discontinuation, we will give you reasonable notice by email so you can export your data first.
Exporting your data
You can export all your keeps as a ZIP file at any time from Settings → Export. We encourage you to do this regularly.
6. Pricing
keeps.family will be a paid product. Pricing will be published before we charge anyone, and you will never be charged without your explicit consent.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:
- We are not liable for any loss of your content — please export your memories regularly
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
- Our total liability shall not exceed £100
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
8. Termination
By you
Delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes all your data and cannot be undone.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. We will give notice where possible.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
